I vote he gets hungry enough he will get a job.
Some individuals use statistics as a drunk man uses lamp-posts — for support rather than for illumination.

Talented people with all the potential that they never reach are just milking that potential that they will never reach. If they keep dancing to his tune they will always be dancing always.
Hungry people are often humble and more willing to work I’ve found.

I am willing to bet he didn't do hay as a kid.
Truth! was at a 4-H shoot the other day and we were discussing this. we could not think of one lazy person who had done hay as a kid. nearly every leader at the event had done hay one friend said his dad would give him time off the farm when their first cutting was done so he would go up north to visit cousins well their hay was 2 weeks behind ours so he got there and helped them with hay , then their neighbors with hay , and it only made him appreciate the bale elevator his dad had even more.
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Who shut off the supply line that enabled him all these years ? Its almost pitiful when you find one. He's about to find out It has to start somewhere.
Big, Big difference between a Hand Out and a Hand Up.
This is how I feel too. I agree with helping someone out to better themselves but I'm not going to dole money out to someone who won't work to improve their situation. I tend to distance myself regarding some relatives and people.

Wait until the one with money passes. My wife's brother talked her dad into making him executor of his estate. Not sure what it was worth but he didn't do what the law, will or trust told him to do. He told my wife to get a lawyer. Were sitting here in IN waiting to talk to one. The problem is the law doesn't care if the executor lies under oath or steals from the family. My mom passed away last year and my brother talked her into becoming the executor. We found out after she died that my brother stole the ranch and at least 100k from mom. Yea every family has one and the Stinky debris rises when a relative dies. Don't waste your money on wills, trusts and lawyers. They are worth the paper they are written on and lawyers are just....well, I can't say. Just what, a dying breed? Let’s hope so.

Threatening suicide is a side act to put pressure on the ones that are giving him money, stop the money and call his bluff, then you'll see if he's serious, if he is....problem solved.
People with real issues rarely run around threatening to off themselves. That’s one way of looking at it. lol

I don't give money to the homeless, because I was once homeless. I don't support food stamps, because I was once on food stamps. I didn't get it right until I got hungry and dirty and knew there wasn't a safety net. X2. I hit rock bottom hard and took a long time to get it together. I was 35 when that happened. Trapping turned out to be a HUGE part of the process.
