A buddy just contacted me to show me what just alerted him on his phone. He has one of those fancy cam deals that sends photos to his phone when it gets triggered by something. Dr. Mike is relatively new to trapping, but has now since retired and he has time to pursue his interests. He snared a coyote today.

He has been trying to catch a cat but it didn't happen when the season was open. Now he has one checking out a dig-out dirt hole set made for coyotes, that seems to have caught this cats attention.

Interesting photo that shows the deer grazing in the background with no concern, but yet still keeping an eye on the cat. It looks like a good sized cat.

I hope he doesn't catch it. He has never had to deal with releasing one yet.

Well Dr. Mike caught a cat last night attached to a concrete block drag. His first cat release. The first is usually the most challenging. I am proud of him. He didn't catch the cat in the fancy cam photo yet, he caught this cat in a set made for a coyote.

Agreed on the cat size, very respectable at the least.

I had never saw sign or a sighting of one on my farm until I had one get into a mb 550 i set for k 9 a few years back. I didn't have a catch pole any longer at the time let's just say it's release was more interesting than I'm used to with claws on 4 feet plus teeth to watch out for. I can do without catching another until we get a season. N
