When he first started with the Brooklyn Dodgers, some of the team refused to have their photo taken if he was in it because he was the only black person on the team. Very sad. In the end he proved them all wrong. He was a great player. Most in this country have things people in other countries only dream about. Yet, they want America to be more like those other countries.

He eventually become great friends with some of them. Probably the most notable was the Dodger captain and shortstop, PeeWee Reese. Most in this country have things people in other countries only dream about. Yet, they want America to be more like those other countries.
