I ordered on Ebay but it came from a Walmart store someplace. Going to start my doses on a couple cats tomorrow.

I know some use 1 tsp per day for 7-10 days if they don't feed their pets that frequently. Try to monitor the animals stool, it will show parasite discharge typically. Treatment results can vary some time wise, but generally results will begin within 3 to 5 days. For maintenance treatment it can be every few months or as needed.

Most house bound pets aren't as high risk like in/out cats and dogs. Dogs and cats all like to eat poop and dead rodents at times. Parasites can also be passed from the mother while nursing young also.

Food grade DE is great for a number of pests. It's a good idea to make sure it is diluted or portioned (as you already know) with food or water so that an animal cannot eat a chunk of it alone and have it form a dry blockage in their digestive tract. Great stuff for many uses. Diatoms themselves are fascinating.
