Dont forget a lot of these big time trappers have big egos and cant handle a little ribbing-too sensitive. So they take their ball and go home. Need thick skin to hang out here. No place for the prima donna types. Not everyone grew up with that banter and would rather just not to talk to someone than to hear their constant smart arse comments. This isn't smartarse.com, its trapperman.

I sure miss Jonathans pics and post hope he is in a very good place. I enjoyed his posts before he started posting all the bird pictures even more. He put a lot of effort into making excellent informational trapping related posts. His post on muskrat floats was tremendous. Dont forget a lot of these big time trappers have big egos and cant handle a little ribbing-too sensitive. So they take their ball and go home. Need thick skin to hang out here. No place for the prima donna types. Many of them have came and gone because of this and it's often that they are just so sensitive that they can't take it if someone simply asks why they do it the way that they do. They feel they should not be questioned, how dare people doubt them.

Most on here are likely as tired as I am that on every fur market post you were complaining about how your Alaskan fur was not profitable and that the rest of us should stop adding to the market so your product would go up in price...

I would like to see more pics and write ups about kids and families out trapping even if they are just catching grinners. With fur prices down there is less pressure to put up big numbers so trappers should have more time to take a kid/s or the family out and enjoy being outside and quality time together.

I’m I would like to see more pics and write ups about kids and families out trapping even if they are just catching grinners. With fur prices down there is less pressure to put up big numbers so trappers should have more time to take a kid/s or the family out and enjoy being outside and quality time together. If thick skin is required how many people will fit that category so it seems there is not an environment that supports those people often. If you notice new people seem to go poof pretty quick even with a decent welcome so where do they go and why did they go? If the culture is survival of the fittest the same people will keep doing what they are doing with no change to the culture that’s offered or people will move along.

Was ALOT of info when the place first started, several get in long winded disagreements about this or that then you type out a long detailed post giving your two cents and the whole post would go POOF! Never to be seen again, in time alot just quit wasting their time since it wasn't going to last long enough for anyone to see it anyway.
Then came the Utube hero's who just caught their first coon arguing with veteran guys who have been at it for 30 or more years so they all shut up and just watch now also.
Not my circus, not my clowns.
