One of my favorite guns is my Win 101 o/u in 2 3/4 in.

My Dad gave it to me 50 years ago for my 18th birthday .

Great shooter and when he passed 15 years ago one of the guns I inherited was his 20 ga 101.

I dont know if I qualify as a collector. I have been known to buy something for no real purpose just cause I like it. Savage 99 in 308 is one I think about often. A small caliber flintlock long rifle is another that crosses my mind.

I have two Mod 12 Winchesters (1946 - 20 gauge and 1957 - 12 gauge), a Ruger Red Label 20 gauge first year sold, a Citori 725 Field, and several 1100s.

I'd like a full set of 1100 Remingtons, but I don't even have enough to buy a full set of Stevens single shots. lol

Ive got an assortment but no particular collecting strategy

Old Win 101s from 70s era in 20 and 410. Were my sub gauge skeet guns as kid. Bet I haven’t fired either in 30 years. When got older, tubed a Rem 3200 and used that but then moved away from skeet fields and used it as first sporting gun. Probably haven’t shot that in 20+ years. None are really special to me except for some nostalgia. Really should sell all of them.

Hunting wise I swap around between Beretta 686, wetherby Orion and Browning 425. The 686 is only one Id likely not sell. Others are fine but prefer the feel of 686

My 2 primary target guns are fairly different but both handle good for me. 20 gauge K20 and 12 gauge MX2000

Try a few and see what you like. Virtually any modern gun can be made to fit you but feel and handling are different story. You may like one style better than others

I've never really thought of collecting all of the gauges but I have an international assortment of doubles. German, Scottish, English and American. Maybe one of these days I'll pick up a Spanish or Italian gun.

$$$ wise, be way better off spending money on lead, copper n powder then guns now days.
A gun you can't get ammo for is just a club.

swampgas chili and schmidt beer makes for a deadly combo

I’ve done the same thing collecting the Stoeger Condor O/U shotguns. I have the 12,20,28, and 410. I just need the 16. Anyone has one let me know.

I am not much of a collector
I have a few
keep it to 12 and 20
all shooters
I do have a type these days , short & fast with choke tubes
which is a hard combo to find for whatever reason not many made with a choke tube.

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

I'm not seeing where they make a 16 gauge?

I wanted to do that with Model 12's and A5's. I'm still working on it. Its a fun long term goal.
