Make yourself a frostscraper like this Ryan. Sharpen it so there is a burr on the inside edge, sharpen from the one side only. You will know immediately when you have the edge correct. Could maybe drill a hole in an ulu to fit a threaded rod handle,As long as the steel can be touched up with a file should work good.

I just love when they make a trap look small. I’ve seen this guys tracks a couple times so I set a trap for him on the way to the trapline. Connected.

Heck yeah! Congrats.
Ryan, have you ever had another wolverine refuse a set where you caught a male before? Do you think the scent of a large male at the trap site would make another wolverine weary?
I originally was thinking "Is that a 280?". Awesome catch.

Went for a ridee today to make trail out to the camps and pick up my sled at the same time but instead I got 1 of 2 wolves. Couldn't cut off the one and it got to shore. Luckily the bigger of the two have me a chance and I got it. I came straight back to town to skin it. Camps and sled can wait another day

I originally was thinking "Is that a 280?". Awesome catch. I dont think it bothers them.

Any wolves over there have displasea or flea problems? Making for poor fur? Yup. Rare to get a nice one in the delta. Mountain wolves are always nice, maybe 1in 100 will be scruffy. I’ve let a lot go in the delta over the years just because I didn’t want to handle them.

Would that be it ?

Ryan, our Gov. Mike Dunleavey, was in the Yukon recently. Alaska is sharing money with them to fix part of the Alaska Highway. He flew around in a chopper while there with some Yukon game managers. He was amazed at all the wildlife he saw and the places he saw them in. In particular he saw Bison up high, 8000 ft., on some mountains. I'm wondering if you ever see Bison up in your territory? Alaska has one stable Bison population around Delta Jct. The rest of our Bison herds are small and don't do so well. Recently lost half of a transplanted herd out in western Canada. State is working on trying to start a herd just west of Fairbanks. These are all wood Bison, except, I think, the Delta Bison are plains Bison.
