Burris scopes were real good YEARS ago.
But so we're Tascos.

That's right. I've got a 70s vintage 4X Tasco that's still as clear and solid as when it was new.
Tasco's were made in Japan back then.

What are you talking about! MB550s are definitely the best! How could you possibly think otherwise?!? A dozen of them attached to the bottom of your slide wire and that beaver ain't moving that much dead weight anywhere.

Oh wait... you meant to actually catch an animal in? hahaha

I still have a few of them on rifles used for mindless plinking.
On the rifles which I use for serious reasons, I use Leopold scopes.
Here is what I like about them which you won't find on less expensive scopes.
1) Excellent view in low light and high glare situations like looking in the direction of a recent sunset.
2) I seldom if ever need to resight the scope, and I can tend to be a bit rough with my equipment.
3) The eye relief is long and there is room for error if you are not at the perfect distance from the eyepiece. I have not seen another scope which has that feature to the extent as a Leupold has.
4) Their lens coatings fight glare and tend not to fog up like other scopes which I have had.
5) There is great value in the confidence of knowing all of this can be expected when you pull out any of many rifles with a Leupold scope on it. I cannot say that about any other rifles which have a hodgepodge of economy minded scopes on them.
I am not "brand queer", but I do know what I require for what I do.

Which all is fair. Brand does what you want for the price you happy with . Your also not throwing a hissy fit when someone don't use them grin

Exactly. I am not one for throwing hissy fits, nor hanging around others who do. I'd rather just walk away, smiling. Nothing gets their blood boiling more than kindness. smile

This X 1000.
Great warranty seems to be what I hear from leupold users..... Good, you're most likely gonna need it, just like vortex.

oh yeah, among others.. NO BS is getting the same treatment these days.. Both great traps, I like them both, but come on........Sometimes I think the prostaffers are more interested in catching trappers than fur... grin
Reminds me a lot of reloaders too.. "If you ain't got a MEC, you ain't got nothin" and so on.. Ive got three MECs but I still have an old Lee that churns out 20ga loads just as nice as my mec's..
Its in every profession,hobby and field of study out there....
Don't get me wrong I love a good piece of equipment of any brand, but blind loyalty while trashing everything else that isn't your brand just makes no sense to me..To each their own though.

a better question is are you loyal to a country? The country you were born in and where you live.

Or is it all about the money?

Leopold = USA
Arken = China.

Mmmhmmm and it depends. Can go into a big whatever but boils down like this. If I need something for serious use and the American opinion actually fits my criteria yeah , otherwise it's whatevers cost effective . You gotta offer me more then just made in America to get my money. Also when we say American we talking 100% made in America with American made parts assembled by Americans or just something just shipping and redistributed by Americans ? Or what about stuff that has built to American specs over seas the resold by Americans veteran own companies?

If your not making something with the features I want at the price range I'm wanting then I don't have jack for you.
