The mother of a friend of mine recently passed away. In going through her things, these two tools were discovered. Her father, my friend's maternal grandfather, was a trapper for awhile in Canada. My friend is in his late 50s.

He would like some help in identifying these two tools. One is of bone, the other of steel. They're about 12" long.

I have some ideas about their origin and purpose, but would rather hear from a bona fide source.

Thanks

They appear to both be harpoon heads for fishing.
