I keep wondering why for some who think a topic is foolish they keep opening them?

Exact same question for the political threads.

Agree. Does anyone open every post? I only open those that interest me.

Hears some understanding that I have from Roman's 11 and 12 on this matter. This passage speaks of how to react to an adversary.

I believe this is a passage about edifying or purification.
Coals of fire are used to remove impurities from previous metals. [Linked Image]

Also in the passover, the final plague of Egypt.
The passover Lamb was supposed to be roasted on coals of fire and eaten.
I believed this was representing baptism with fire as John the Baptist spoke of concerning Jesus in Matthew
Also representing purging of our sins.
The next passage is in Rom 11.
Paul speaks of more purging of an enemy.
This is what I believe he was leading up to in the previous passage I showed.

With the exception of Jesus, you'd be hard-pressed to name someone that followed that doctrine.

Yes rex.
You are correct,
This is why we need Jesus and to trust that his sacrifice is sufficient for us sinners.
We can only strive for the mark of living in his image.

I know people that have fed their enemies. I agree it's almost unheard of in this day and age.

Feeding in a biblical sense can of course be both physical and spiritual.
The very reason I started this thread was for the very things we are discussing.
Be not overcome with evil, but overcome evil with good.
This is the vary spiritual food I'm thinking of.
When it comes to us as trappers and outdoorsman, we have a comeratery.
A brotherhood so to speak. But the acuser would try and decvide us as a well meaning community of men.
And plant a seed of division between us.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:12.
It is darkness we all wrestle against.
We need the light.
Food for thought.
