Nice thought Jordan. I think Walt's your man. I was thinking about helping you out but I didn't see any mention of beer with the pizza.

I pulled my line yesterday and picked up two more beaver to end my season. I was also able to take an unexpected dip in the water. I slipped on a log in waist deep water and ended up soaking wet. Luckily I had a spare coat, shirt and gauntlets in the truck. I don't ever remember that happening in the past, lol.

Good luck to all of you continuing to trap up north.

57 years trapping. It's who I am. Every day is still as exciting as it was when I was a kid but a little more work.

I will be using the 100% effective penguin exclusion set only, so don't plan on catching any Penguins. My biggest problem will be finding enough popple for bait. Will keep you posted.

And the last trap had beaver #81

Lance, I always have beer for fur shed volunteers. I wonder if Walt is having much luck with beaver floats in Antarctica?

Why fix it when you can struggle?

Looks a little breezy out there Korey! Congrats on you and Jordys season. Today I drove my wife to the lake to visit an acquaintance. I did a drive around the lake checking out landings that have had some recent improvements done. I noticed some fresh peeled sticks and castor mounds. Thanks for leaving some for us elderly for next year. Lol When I get back from Antarctica l will see if you need any help in the fur shed. Tight chains!

I will keep that in mind Korey, but my trip just got extended. You better not wait that long in case the prices tumble after I flood the market with all the fur I will bring back.

I am back Korey. Next year I will have to go incognito as they probably won't let me in again. I did pick up a rather unique fleshing knife I will show you at the June rondy. You can try it out on the two beaver you found. It is a one of a kind knife.
