That's bad news for their fans, no better than they did the last three games. The pirates will be passing them soon. laugh

The Phillies blew a 4-1 lead late, the relief pitcher retired the first batter the bottom of the 7th and then walked two batters and hit a third batter with his pitch, a double cleared the bases and then another relief pitcher gave up a run in the 9th. The Phillies are only playing .500 baseball since June 6th.

Not much for baseball today, but I saw Cease threw a no hitter vs. the Nats.

Phillies offence needs to get back where they were earlier. They didn't look very good today vs the Indians. frown

Cubs have runners and 2nd and 3rd with no outs and can't score a single run. Pathetic.

Bobby Witt Jr, is a heck of a ballplayer.

The Phillies look more like the worst team in baseball instead of the best team.

The Phillies will look good tomorrow and probably Sunday too. Our worst pitcher is starting tomorrow and they don't know what to do for Sunday's starter.

Brewers lose. Peralta has another poor outing. If Yelich is out for several games or the season the Brewers will have an up hill climb. Their starting pitching is still shakey.

The way the Phillies are hitting the Indians worst pitcher will look like Cy Young.

The Phillies rookie pitcher threw a complete game shutout and the offense finally scored some runs. Randy, the Indians pitcher looked good the first time through the lineup,

The Phils and the Indians each have a rookie pitcher starting for the first time today, should make for an interesting game. Early in the season when Walker came of the injury list the Phillies had 6 starting pitchers, due to injuries they are down to 3 from the original 6. I never knew it took so long for a blister to heal, but that is the case with Walker, he has been on the injured list since June 23rd.

Cubs won big yesterday. Everyone else in the division lost. That was a good day. We'll see how they do today, if they have figured anything out.

Thank goodness for the Indians' bullpen. Without those guys pitching the way they do game after game, they wouldn't even be a .500 team.

Cubs take the series today vs. the Royals, and looked pretty good doing it. It got a little real for them today though, trading off Morel to the Rays. I liked him but he just couldn't put all the pieces together. Unfortunately everyone else in the division managed a win today too, except the lowly Reds.

The Indians showed the Phillies up today and took 2 out of 3; now the Yankees come to town.

Yankees are playing a little home run derby in the first couple innings. Phillies better put a stop to that quick and get some offence going. shocked

For the time being, Harper and Turner are not producing, they should take a pay cut. Wheeler can kiss the Cy Young award goodbye, 7 runs in 5 innings. If the Phillies can't beat the American League teams in the regular season, how would they ever beat them in the World Series. It looks like they peaked about 4 months too soon.
