NL prevailed!! Yankees had defensive issues throughout the season and they really showed up in this game. Dodgers played a more complete game. I am happy for Beuhler who missed two seasons with surgeries, had a really tough first half of this season and pitched well in September and October and especially tonight. Now it is back to see what the Brewers will be doing or not doing this off-season.

I think I have watch a lot of baseball, but I really don't ever recall a pitcher not attempting to cover first base with a ball hit to the first baseman?

I may have missed seeing or hearing, but I still do not know why Cole did not cover first base. Has he or they given a reason?

Had Rizzo just took off for the bag, like Cole thought he was going to, he'd gotten the guy out. I really like Rizzo but he didn't help out the team last night, no production at the plate. Still Cole should have covered the bag until Rizzo called him off if he was going to take it.

Judge bobbled a soft liner, error throwing to 3rd base, and the no coverage at first, leads to 5 unearned runs! Money can buy a bat or speed but it does not always buy fundemental baseball mental toughness.
Dodgers made it with Freeman carrying the load, Ohtani and Muncie could hardly get hits. Muncie did play very good D at 3rd.
