Pound for pound armadillos are much stronger than coons. But they defeat cages differently.

Dillers wedge themselves under a slant door and bulldoze their way out. They'll bend the lock bar or bow up the top of a cage until the bar falls out and the door opens.

Fortunately they don't get educated like coons do.

Guillotine doors are best for armadillos.

They were in Florida when I lived down there, but I was a kid then. They were just speed bumps mostly.

I started out with havahart 1079's and they worked well. I had a groundhog bend a pan once, but otherwise they held up. I still use them in areas that I feel are high risk for theft. When I started making money, I switched to other brands.

No armadillos in my area, so I can't speak to that.

Good luck!

Be careful using one ways with animals that can tear siding off homes trying to get back in. Now if you want to use them for chucks, skunks, and opossums, more power to ya.

Well finally got all my permits. Got my first job. Pigeons in the attic and soffit. Job took about 4 hours and a happy customer so far.. I will check in with them periodically throughout the week.
