Ever notice a strange odor in a vintage antique 150+ year old house ?

I've seen a video of a very old house that they took the internal wall apart. Piles and piles of dead mice and droppings , urine and nesting materials. The smell lingers for years. Best experienced in a historic home that has been preserved and no modern items brought in that will mask the odor as paint and new carpet will bring it's own odor and mask the existing odor.

The worst mouse job I ever saw was a house that had a lot of parrots. They were eating all the seed that was thrown around.

When I drive by that house I still think off all that seed mess and the mice that are probably still there.
