Yes I wouldn't argue that point and I think everyone should have something that checks that box

I used what that guy talks about to come up with a way to find the powder nodes. Powder charge nodes to tighten the vertical and seating depth to tighten the horizontal. I don't have enough experience to say it works every time but I've used this method on the last 5 bullet/powder combo I've tried and it's been consistent at showing me the nodes. The harmonic pattern is pretty consistent, readable and easy to see.

Wolfie what I been doing is a little different approach ( maybe same ending) than say what Eric does. Later when I'm in the house I'll try to pm u some pics and explain what I do. Half grain powder increments and most of my focus is on the vertical impact compared to the powder charge before and the one after. One shot at each powder charge then maybe repeat that again just to verify what your seeing is correct. I'm comparing whether the impact was higher or lower..there's a pattern to it. If you watch the video until he gets to the point he starts drawing graphs representing impact patterns that's where this thing started for me.

I think Eric's method is tuning more for a velocity node and I think what I'm doing is more looking for a harmonics node. And maybe they are the same node we are just using different ways to see it . I've done this with about 5 different powder/ bullet combos with 2 different guns and it's helped find an accurate load much easier and clearer. But maybe my method wouldn't work as well with guns like Eric shots.

My wife insisted on a 6.5 creed for her first deer rifle, I can say I’m pretty impressed with what it has done on whitetail and black bear. I’ve shot it off the bench and it’s a pleasure to shoot recoil wise, but I’ll stick to my 270 win. Eric

I got a 270 also and like the extra velocity from a terminal perspective especially at longer distances. The 270 isn't as fun at the range after 30 or so rounds.

Lol I'll apologize to anyone I offended with my comments about a CM BUT will warn everyone I'll probably still make jokes about them because as Boone said they have been a little over hyped..... I do like more velocity in my hunting cartridges though. 243/6 cm for inside 200ish on deer and for coyotes, 270 for deer further out. I kind of see the 6.5 cm as the modern day 308 but doesn't really stand out in any one area. Accurate, large selection/availability of quality components, light recoil, and quality match ammo at reasonable cost.

All kidding aside- I hope it shoots well for ya. The price wasn't prohibitive and if you don't like it, I am sure you can sell it. I simply don't have a need because my .25-06 does everthing a CM could do and probably better. I say that but Bucksnbears picture of the .264 Mag gets me wanting a new old toy pretty badly.
