That's exactly how every building our troops take fire from should be handled. Hospital, school all of them. No reason to let our guys go in ad be exposed to more risk

I think it is the cost of not loosing 5 of our guys trying to take out the few in the building.

besides lots of our bombs were aging and going to have to be dismantled if they kept sitting in a wharehouse.

One good sniper can be a real pain. I think it’s a pretty cheap effective way to get back on track. Utilize your available assets if it could possibly save 1 soldier.

It also dissuades any other would be snipers.

Nothing in those crap hole countries is worth one of our guys getting a hang nail. Heck they will just pull out and leave the enemy bullions in arms and equipment when it's said and done. Flatten the building and roll on.

Knocking them hard the short distance to the stone age is more cost effective and smarter than trying to teach them Western values. Many Americans idiotically think all people think the same as we do and that their cultures are just as good. Some people just need killed before they harm your people.

Carlos Hathcock went to a base having sniper problems. He scouted it out found his firing position went back to the base. Had a howitzer trained on it and told the guys at the base to fire it next time he took a shot. Hathcock went back to his bace. A week or so later they took sniper fire they fired a shot from the howitzer and never had a problem with the sniper again. More than one way to make a one shot kill.

We can zap them with drones also.
The fighting in Ukraine will likely change the scope of war into the future with their improvised drone weaponry. It’s kind of scary watching those drones chase a soldier into a building before detonating its charge.

Nah, tritonal and minol were the explosive fillers in conventional bombs during the Vietnam era, and they don't degrade over time. If these have been replaced by newer explosives, I doubt they will degrade over time either.
