I have hit 2 deer so far that I remember.

I’ve hit over 20 deer over the years in WV. Early on it was due to working night shift and traveling some high deer density counties at peak movement times. My worst year was 3 deer with 3 different vehicles. My collisions have tapered off over the years with a lower deer density, only a 6 mile commute to work, and as I have aged I drive much slower. We always joke that we use the number of carcasses and blood spots on I79 in November to gauge the intensity of the whitetail rut.

My joke is that they buy culvert markers in WV . They just use deer carcasses. Darn near everyone of em on a two lane has a family of deer laying around a culvert of both sides

I had one in Clay county jump off of an embankment and landed in the back of my Dodge Ram. It slid all over the bed until I stopped. Then it jumped out and ran away. Scared the crap out of me until I saw what it was.
