This bill, if passed by the Senate and approved by the governor…
Would ban all outdoor contests such as coyote calling contests, raccoon hunting contests, etc
Even bounty programs sponsored by county and State Farm bureaus would be banned.
We need every tool available to help manage wildlife… it’s a no brainer what the nest raiders are doing to the numbers of upland and wetland birds…
Even when the data is in front of their faces!!!
The Disney/grizzly adams mindset is going to crush the ecosystem…
Absolutely aggravating!!!

I emailed my representatives from my area quite awhile ago about this bill.apparently not enough people did or too many on the left had the votes.

I might need that 1000 DP line the kid was talking about in the other thread , set up 10 feet north of state line road

then I just need a steam powered truck that can run on coon fat

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Do you really think they pay attention to that? It comes down to who “donates” the most money.

Thanks foxkidd for posting to this...sad state of affairs as very little trapping and hunting for fur will take place with these low prices. And watch the wildlife issues begin.

NY did the same except deer, Turkey, bear, and fishing contests are exempt.

Iam not sure if they pay attention or not.but if they want to get voted back in you would think they would listen to the people that have the power to do that.

Several states have ended the coyote calling contests I believe....Pure politics catering to the animal rights organizations.

They're targeting the hunting/trapping culture.

I would still have any contests I wanted, just don't advertise it as such & kill even more of them out of spite.

When this bill was in committee… the number of people who opposed this bill greatly outnumbered the number of people that supported it…. Yet,,, it passed committee.

We let the animal rights zealots get away with it back in the 60's , and now they've taken charge.
When people place animals above human life, you have a problem.

Education of the public is the answer. How to do that can be by several routes. Preaching to the choir isn't one.

"All is vanity". Illinois is the shinning example. Their foolishness may not fly as well once they get down south of the Windy City. However as it has been debated here, resisting the Windy City ordinances and decrees may subject ones soul to an eternity in Hades. Fire up the furnace, enough is enough!

Agreed….. I’ve tried my best, to try to educate EVERYONE I can about the importance of wildlife management and how even the smallest parts of it can affect folks and not even realize it.
Things don’t matter to folks, until it matters to folks.
A trapper isn’t important, until you have a problem critter ,,, then it’s extremely important.

We’ll said we’re no different than Minnesota or New York all red except for a huge population center
