Google the effective range of 22 LR or 22 magnum shotshells.
It's made for feet not yards.

Made for shooting rats/pigeons/snakes in barns so as not to damage anything, and for scientist's to collect small animals/birds with minimum damage. Crimped end shells are loaded with #12 shot. Remington made a smooth barrel .22 for indoor skeet/trap with small clay birds called "Skeeters". My VFW post uses them for our indoor meat shoots.

It might break a clay target at 10 feet. Good for rats and snakes at just beyond getting bit distances. The 45 colt will kill a rabbit or grouse at a little father distance.
