Set up an all snare job today. Strangest beaver job I've done in a awhile.

Urban high end back yard just off the Chatahoochee. No dam, no swamp just a ditch. Single beaver, client has game camera, living in a storm drain culvert. Tight ditch small area beaver only venturing into one yard. Total area covered by five snares smaller than my living room. Three snares on beaten trails on one ditch bank, one snare on other bank, one snare covered the width of the water at ditch bottom. All but one within ten feet of the culvert.

Client just texted come get my beaver in the morning because it's caught.

Footholds and making castor mounds spring and fall so many beaver and so little pressure thats all I need.. Sometimes a conibear if the right easy to get to run presents itself. Winter under ice I run a little of everything.

Figured out why that one was hiding out in a culvert.

For those using footholds, primarily coil spring and what manufacturer/size or long springs and what size?

I use coils. My experience every full size beaver coil works fine when used properly. And every foot trap for beaver will have misses. Pick the one that has features you like.
