My Guineas love chasing them around the yard and eating them. They also like pooping on my sidewalk. The Guineas, not the moths.

I found this one on the front porch of my camp this morning. It’s n Io moth, a female I think.

IO male are that colour with a small antennia and the females have a large fan shape and drab forewings
they sure feed on many plant/shrubs

cut worm so best protect your tomatoes next year, this years larvae feed on small weeds but the overwintering larvae is what does the damage

You’re right, that is a male. I thought because of the red on the wings it was a female. But the females, at least some of them, are almost all rusty red.

Not quite. Centipedes freak me out. Also I don’t think you can change your handle once you’ve made it? I tried to put some spaces in mine and a couple capital letters and I think what’s done is done!
