This little moth came by to say hello!

My Guineas love chasing them around the yard and eating them. They also like pooping on my sidewalk. The Guineas, not the moths.

I found this one on the front porch of my camp this morning. It’s n Io moth, a female I think.



There was a small Luna moth also.

IO male are that colour with a small antennia and the females have a large fan shape and drab forewings
they sure feed on many plant/shrubs

cut worm so best protect your tomatoes next year, this years larvae feed on small weeds but the overwintering larvae is what does the damage

You’re right, that is a male. I thought because of the red on the wings it was a female. But the females, at least some of them, are almost all rusty red.

Not quite. Centipedes freak me out. Also I don’t think you can change your handle once you’ve made it? I tried to put some spaces in mine and a couple capital letters and I think what’s done is done!

WOW 8 lunas in one photo. they look small to me but guess just youngsters. I have seen many but not at the same time like that......jk

Obviously you aren't a beekeeper that has lost hives to wax moths. I hate them.
