Even the saw shops? Theres one about every 20 minutes around here. I havent bought any lately maybe they dont carry them anymore? I cant remember the name but they were blue and made in the northeast US and were about bulletproof.

LOL,,,Im not scared of a little nap now and then. When I was younger..I wondered how people could just go to sleep in the middle of the day.Now that I will never see 65 again,,,,I get it.Count this as another vote for a nap. smile

I would guess 20 to 40 cant hooks within an hour drive of you in a month. What is your zip code?

They mostly won't be listed as cant hooks, for two main reasons. One is that a lot of auction staff don't know what a cant hook is. The second reason is that they aren't worth enough for the auction staff to list by themselves.

I collect axes, hatchets and adzes pretty hard. I see cant hooks under the same categories very frequently.

From more to less specific search:

Cant.
Hook tool.
Hook.
Log tool.
Logging tool.
Lumberjack tool.
Antique tool.
Industrial tool.
Yard tool.
Garden tool.
Long handled tool.
Garage tool.
Shed.
Garage.
Barn.
Tool.

You have to look at more listing the less specific your search. If you can't find what you want with the specific, keep going more general.

I greatly enjoy the hunt for old tools and would be glad to try to find you a good quality, old can't hook, near you.

Keith

There's a fair number of cant hooks listed in your neighboring state of Virginia, just under cant.

https://www.proxibid.com/asp/SearchAdvanced_i.asp?searchTerm=Cant&category=all%20categories&timestamp=1718934768630#searchid=none&type=lot&search=Cant&sort=relevance&view=gallery&length=25&start=1&refine=State|Virginia

The link doesn't come through cleanly. The site to search is:

www.proxibid.com

When I have a day like yours, I stop and just go kill something. Easy for me though, I do that for a living every day.
You would just need to be sneakier is all.
