There's a few here in Northern MS but we don't go to them. They're from FL and and charge $14 for a melon that costs $4 at the piggly wiggly.

But there are a few local farm stands we hit up now and then. But they're mostly selling things our garden started producing months ago... so the only market there is for what little we don't grow.

Proudly banned from the NTA.

Bother me tomorrow. Today I'll buy no sorrows.

There's an old guy who has a little stand nearby. Honey and pecans.

We are vacationing in Florida right now. Picked up peaches from a roadside stand yesterday. I told my wife, they probably bought them at Sam's Club in the morning and drove 20 miles down the road to sell them to suckers like us. Oh well, they are tasty. smile

I don’t know much about blueberries but my plants are pickable pretty quickly.

Early blueberries might be coming out of growing sheds. Controlled light, nutrients, temperatures and so on allow growers to market faster. I’ll bet the sellers aren’t calling them ‘wild’ blueberries at their stands.
