I’m not sure what the junior includes other than just membership itself. But they do send out newsletters maybe twice a year. You will be involved and informed. Adult membership includes a publication; the trapper and predator caller magazine. I always choose the membership that doesn’t include the magazine because I have too much reading to keep up with. The Furtaker magazine that comes with membership to FurTakers of America is the magazine I usually read first. Everything else is leisure. Check out the PTA shop. There are nice t shirts and other things . Stickers and patches. If you become a sustaining member every January , they send you a limited edition patch. Additionally , there is a sustaining member coin. Which is very nice. I believe it’s $50. Trapping Heritage Protection coin.

Well that depends on what you are permitted to spend. Make sure you ask your folks about it. I think a junior membership is fine to start with. It’ll keep you in the loop. You can still be a sustaining member every year if you can afford the donation. It is a nice thing to do to help out your association. They fight for our privilege to trap and they do a lot to educate us and others on the need for wildlife management. I make 130 a week sometime 150 milking

I think as a young person, you should still consider your personal purchases and how they will affect the household. If you are ambitious enough to make your own money, I applaud you. If your parents say that your money is truly yours to spend then do so wisely. Consider also your needs and not just your wants. That is something that people don’t learn even as they get much much older! Hope you don’t think I’m harping on you. We are all here to help. But I do think joining your state association is very important!

The money I make doesn't do nothing to our household my parents run there own construction business and are currently making our 2nd house. They have money I will join the pta junior just to help out with trappers around here.

Very good. Something that will strengthen your character would be to take some of your money that you earned and maybe treat your family to ice cream or McDonald’s or something. It may not be in your plans but it will make you feel good and be a nice gesture. Just a thought!! My parents would not let that lol they would feel wrong my sister also works (younger than me and just quit this saturday) and has $4000! I live pay check to paycheck but I'm saving up to 800 for 8 dozen dp traps. My parents have lots of not gonna say how much but more than most people in pa 100%

Bud for me to get 250 coon here, and mind you we have VERY high coon numbers in SE Nebraska, I have to run some miles of backroads stops with culverts, bridges, old ponds and barns, and it takes me some work to hit 250. I’m no water trapper either but just keep your goals realistic and have fun. You sound like a hard working kid and I am rooting for all the success you can get. Keep us posting and updated on your successes ! Jim
Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

I think your coyote and fox goal should be easily achieved. You’ll most likely catch more.
Your raccoon goal seems a bit high though. I say that because I think you’re going to quit checking 115 traps every day. 12 traps last year is one thing. 115, all on foot, on different properties, I don’t think so. 4am and running. I push my self with trapping. Il do it. I show you when season comes. One day ima be telling my grand kids how crazy I was with trapping LOL This will all change when you get a girlfriend. Like I said, 12 traps is ALOT less than 250. And the more animals you catch, the more you need to skin, flesh, and board. Wait, did you say you’re hiring an 8 year old kid to skin your animals? Oh to be a kid again!!

Lol I will probably change my goal to 75 now because I'm going to run 50 traps instead because of school! I would be exhausted! And yes I am hiring a good friend of mine lol and he already helped me once I know he's good
