I learn something new on this site all the time The piece of beaver was wired to the tree just past the conibear so when the Fisher or marten grab the bait they lift their head and bang.By having the triggers like that the bigger male Fisher can get their head into the smaller coninears......and by the way they are MARTEN.......martin are little purple birds...... I do like those Duke traps though. 155 is an awesome Marten trap that doubles as a Fisher traps for all but the largest makes. It’s a lazy man who can’t find his wife a second job !
