Ok guys we all know fireworks are just money up in smoke! But so is your cigarettes gun powder ect. We all waste it it on something lol. On average how much do you send each 4th of July?
July 1 is my birthday so we have always just did it on the 4th with a fireworks display for family friends and neighbors. About a 1,000.00 is our average. This year we are at 2,500.00 so it better be a good show. I keep saying I'm going to get my Comercial license but I haven't yet. Maybe next year.

Anyway what do you spend????

I don't spend maybe $50 at most and that's small stuff the kids play with and it's the wife doing so. Myself I have zero interest in it at all. Sure I will watch display once a decade but they do nothing for me. I think it's a big wast of money.

Now going from you above post you will get offended and want to know what I wast money on Myself instead of fire works. So just to answer this ahead of time. Taking the kids hunting fishing and traping is my biggest discretionary spending each year. Guns ammo and other gear go in that category. I don't target shoot for fun for myself it to expensive . But I will buy ammo for the boys to shoot and develop the skill set.

Eating out normally 2 double cheese burgers and a drink for 6 buck or a gas station mini pizza and drink for $8.50 are examples of things i could save money on. Probably a few hundred a month. But it's part of traveling for work.

Honestly I'm not much on wasting money. I don't work 60 to 97.5 hrs a week to blow it. Rather I'm more interested in investing it. I also drive a 97 Ford ranger not a new expensive vehicle for the same reason.

Seemed like you get offended when people think your hobby is a wast of money. Why? It's your hobby and your cash spend it how you want and why care what others think of your hobby and how you spend your discretionary income. To me it's a wast of money. Many tell me I'm wasting my life spending to much time at work. They are correct. But will also be the ones wondering how I retire early and live my life how I want. Also I have noticed those people often are very negative about most things and get defensive after asking me how or why I work so much when I lay out my financial position, plan, methods and end goals. Honestly I don't care what they think about my life or how they live theirs. I do know I'm happier and much more care free than they are. Probably because of my financial freedom vs their debt slave life.

Used to spend $500 or so, just some mortors and cakes for the kids to enjoy. Always signed up for the early coupons for the buy one -get one or two free deals. Haven’t been home the last few fourths so its been several years.

You asked I answered, lol,
Practically nothing on alcohol, nothing on gambling, ladies of the night, sports cars or ribeyes either, lol ,Only bad habits are coffee and cussin. My money is spent on maintaining my crabbing biz, and paying these ridiculous taxes here.

You spend yours however you like..no judgement grin

In Oregon you can have nothing that flies or explodes. So why bother?

Normally about $500 on fireworks and another $100 or so on cokes, hotdogs, and hamburgers for the neighborhood. Stop by and grab something to eat and watch the fireworks. Before it was legal the Deputies used to block the street and ignore calls for a meal, lol.
Not sure about this year seeing how the wife and a lot of the neighbors might be out of town.

Funny I'm ordering mine right now, we're lucky to have a whole sale distributor pretty close by, I can get a case (6 indivual fireworks to a case) of 500g cakes for just over 100. We spend around 800-1000 each year have all the neighbors over for a cook out and to swim in the pool then shoot em off

Providence Farm I'm not the one that is offended, in and way. I was joking with gcs and everyone else about spending money on some kind of past time. I knew people would say it was a waste of money so that's why I got that out of the way the first line or two. And YOU really need to go back and tell me what makes you think I was offended. I said nothing defensive to anyone quite the opposite.
Just a non whining. Non complaining thread that was I quisitve about what you spend on fireworks

GCS if you were offended in any way that certainly was not my intent but I don't think you took it that way either but if so I apologize.

Did you know that they now pack cremains in fireworks and ammunition.Providence farm if you decide to go this route .may I suggest mortar rounds. Their short fused, loud, high, and rain down on eveyone, seems fitting. Lol

Now How much do you Average

Used to spend 2-300 a year when the kids were small. Now days, the wife buys $20 worth of the little poppers you throw down and sparklers for the grandkids

Depends on how you measure it. I usually use about 3 to 4k in product. But I’ve got a lot invested in equipment to make it all happen. I do pyromusicals with remote firing.
