The wife and I took a tour of Frank Lloyd Wright's "Falling Water" this past Friday. I was there about 30 years ago. The wife has never been. It's a fantastic house. If you ever get a chance to see it, I advise you do so. Here's some pictures taken from my cell phone.

I’ve lived in the Laurel Highlands my whole life. Only saw it for the first time a couple years ago. Our mountains have a lot to offer. Did you get to see Ft Necessity by chance? They have greatly improved their visitor center and it’s now free admission.

I saw it probably 35 years ago. I haven't been there in a long time.

That home was built by the Kaufmann's. They could burn $100 bills to stay warm in the winter. Filthy rich would be an understatement. My point is, with that kind of money, you could grease whatever wheels you had to and build a home like that, even today. Codes be darned.

I use to work for Dr. Hugg at Bear Run Nature Center which is in the same area and some how affiliated with the infamous Falling Waters tourist attraction. I was a nature naturalist guide in the summers off and on when I was going to college. Basically showing and explaining to city folks about the birds, bees, wildlife and snakes in that area and the state.
