MTP for all of them. It was 35+ years since I’d trapped and MTP had starter kit with MB550’s. I still have that hammer, the sifter, and those 6 traps. Bought everything else from them since then.

PCS Outdoors has better pricing on a lot of traps and lure. Shipping is fair, too.

The point I am at in life I give more traps away to kids or trade for something I might need help with. Still need a few essentials every year such as skinning gloves, lure and ingredients. Got enough traps to last me till the last rendezvous calls me. Mtp, or conventions when I do need something.

Everywhere when I can gat a good deal.

I have probably bought more traps from guys who thought they wanted to be trappers but found out it ain't easy money and fun and games all the time. They will go out and buy new steel and maybe use them one time and hang them up and lose the urge to trap. I haven't bought any brand new still in the box traps since the mid-1980s all have been bought either at local auctions, flea markets or X-"trappers". I have gotten some great deals over the years doing this.

I get a chuckle at people driving 600 miles to a convention to save money on shipping. I find some good deals on used traps at convention, but mostly on new traps, order from F&T.
