Yep. And blows big stretches of ground free of snow where a snowmobile doesn't do much good.

Here the snow comes and goes in a quick cycle often and it drifts often leaving a lot of bare ground over large areas making snowmobiles impractical. Snowmobile opportunities here could be days some years to a few weeks.

Often we get a couple inches of snow but an access gate might have a huge drift blocking it in the low spots filled in from the drifting. It’s common to have bare fields and the ditches over filled with drifted snow and the shelter belts buried in snow.
