My chicken flock I've had since 2006 it dwindles then expands, this year I was down to 3 hen's and two roosters, a fox nailed one of my hen's which put me down too two and two, then it happened my year old hen went broody, I found her nest up off the ground in the barn, I let her set for 17 days then made a nest in a small box like a dog house and moved her and her eggs after dark, to my surprise I found she was sitting on 19 eggs, they started hatching Tuesday morning tonight she brought them out awhile there is15 little chicks a record for me, anyway I'm back into chickens again and I have one very proud mother out there.

My buddy's coop in MO just was hit by a coon before that black snakes getting the eggs.

Never had snakes get my eggs but I had one killing little chicks one year, his life ended pre-mature, dang coon are murder heathens,
