Dillrod OP trapper Joined: Jan 2008 Posts: 2,118 S/W Mich.	Was handed a yard Pear to eat today. Wow !! Iv'e never had a yard pear ripe to eat (Juicy and Sweet). This early in the year your talking first week of July. What variety ripens this early ? 3 maybe 4 generations old the farm , I did not photo the tree, i did get a pear to go. charles trapper C Joined: Aug 2010 Posts: 11,041 Asheville, NC	Planted two pear trees last Fall in a shooting lane. Bought them in Little Mtn.,SC from a wildlife nursery. They were about 10 feet tall. Hoping for pears pretty soon.

I'm 71 yrs old and I have never eaten a tree ripe pear this early in the year. We are talking S/W Mich. I will check them out. I mean the blackberries are just starting to ripen First for me.
