ALSO: The toxin urushiol is active in the plant for 10 years AFTER you kill it.

Every kid needs a Dog and a Curmudgeon.

Goats appear to prefer poison ivy over all other plants. It's the only plant I know of that goats will dig the roots up and consume. Diane call poison ivy goat crack.

I remember as a kid, a neighbor was burning some brush one winter in his woods. The smoke drifted over to our place. I was outside playing in the snow. I was covered with poison ivy the next day.

Maybe if we overpaid teachers and underpaid rappers, there'd be more smart kids and less crappy music.

I don’t think its 10 years. But I’ve heard different claims, never more than 5 though. I’m sure it varies.
If you only want to kill the ivy, only apply herbicide to the ivy. There is no selective herbicide if that was the question.

I promise you, poison ivy grows on trees. And fence posts. And bushes. And houses…. It’ll grab onto anything and encapsulate it.
