My remington 700 has been on a LOT of adventures. Had it at least 30 years. Stock is a little beat up. Put a timney trigger in it when new. Coyote has to be mighty lucky to not get one in the vitals still today. Lots of long shots here in KS. Killed my share with it in that big WY country too.

FWIW I handload. Like NOSLER ballistic tips. 55 grain. I don't max out my loads. 35 grains of IMR 4895. Average MV is 35 something. I could push them faster but that just works. Accuracy and lethality.

Question on the two rifles your looking at what kinda of shape is the bore. Used rifle could have the bore shot out of it. As far as reloading, get a Classic Lee loader and see how it goes. I run Sierra 55 gr soft points with H380. Which according to the Garmin are ave 3550 fps.

they were a good gun but should you want a stock to fix something , good luck finding it

the savage 110 is still being made parts are all over , accessories are all over and if you need a part Savage can sell them to you maybe even send it in.

of those two I would favor the Savage

also new barrels are available for the savage.

May be wrong but..., he was asking about a 22_250.
Model 110s are long actions I believe.

Everytime someone mentions the Ruger M-77V, I get a little sick to my stomach, I had one years ago in 22-250 that was scary accurate. Unfortunately where I lived at the time the only thing that I could legally hunt with it was groundhogs and they were very few and far between so I eventually sold it. Well shortly after that it became legal to hunt predators and even deer with it, I wish I had kept that rifle.

If you can find a Sako Forester,I might be biased but think, you'd be hard pressed to find one you'd like better

I always thought the 10 was short action and 110 was long as well
but savage is listing the predator as a 110 but has all short action calibers

Savage Axis with Winchester 45 gr JHP (white box) works well on coyotes here.

I really like my Rem 700 22-250 VS. It will shoot sub 1/2 MOA with just about any quality factory ammo I feed it and will do a lot better with hand loads. It's a tack driver and one of my favorite rifles to shoot.

the Stevens 200 is a budget Savage 110 with a cheap plastic stock and a blind magazine before they made the Axis line.
they were a great deal in the early 2000s around $229 at the time

it seems to be what they did with all the left over non accutriger parts when the 10/110Savage started coming with the accutrigger in 2002-2003

the 200s were as I understand it all long action and the magazine length in the mag box mounted in the stock was set for short or long action caliber
that way being a blind mag all the stocks were identical to cut down on parts

Dang, sub 1/2 MOA with factory’s, sounds like some good shooting. Does that stop at 100 yds or does the sub half MOA hold up at further ranges?

I've only ever shot it at 100-150yds on paper. Not much reason to shoot farther here in So IL. I've taken a lot of coyotes and other varmints with it. it's the gun I let friends and family shoot that's just getting started. Everyone likes to hit the bullseye and shoot small groups.
