Hard to make the point without sounding like I'm bragging. But years ago as a firearms for Utah Division of Wildlife. I was able to consistently able to knock down 5 steel plates (5 yards) in around 2 seconds from the holster. My best time in a competition among instructors was 1.26 seconds. This was hand off my Glock 23, timer beeps, draw, and shoot 5 steel falling plates. The timer registers the time to first round, splits between rounds and time to last round fired. Timer beep to the last round - 1.26 seconds with a pistol.

Point is - any shooter with a little practice should be able to shoot 5-6 rounds from an AR, from a prone in the crosshairs starting position, in under 2 seconds (with reasonable accuracy).

That 20 year old shooter did not shoot 5 to 6 rounds in 1.4 seconds.

Possible?....maybe. With a semi-auto AR? Hmmm.

1.4 seconds.....put both your hands in your pockets. Pull them out as quickly as you can and clap 5 or 6 times as fast as you can....can't be done in 1.4 seconds.

Shooter's finger and trigger won't reset near quick enough.
