When shipping FHA do you guys tan them or just ship dry. Do they go for more tanned? I'm worried they want to tan themselves that's why they buy dry. I can't find any auction results on tanned hides though..

Stretched and dried. That is the way most folks sell their pelts on the fur market. That is 98% of the pelts FH sells.

There is a market for tanned pelts but it is totally different. Crafter market - folks that sell novelty items. That market is flooded right now. Everywhere you look on eBay and Etsy there is tanned fur for sale.

As I said before - forget about Fur Harvesters!!!! You will be money and knowledge ahead with a local buyer!!

Note - treat your local buyer with respect!! It is fine to ask questions but keep an open mind. His years of experience far outweigh the information you are getting from the internet.

They are few and far between these days and since you don’t drive, it might be difficult. Keep looking.

I think you might be putting the cart before the horse. At this point, you have no fur to sell. Figure out where the animals are. Figure out your sets. Get some animals caught, skinned and put up. Then work on selling them.

Baby steps.
