We'll know in 10 minutes...just started a batch of dill pickles and lightened up on the band tightening.

Life ain't supposed to be easy.

Only had lids buckle once, 4 out of 12 new jars and lids from Ball.
Haven't had that problem since.
I bought Ball lids over 20 years ago, on EBAY, someone that worked at the Cincinnati plant saved all the discontinued lids.
Sold them for about 4 cents each if I remember right.
Bought 4,000 wide mouth and 1,000 regular, as that's all they had left.
The price of lids started going up from around a dollar a dozen to $1.50 , so I started looking for lids .
What are lids now? Last I saw was around $ 3.00 a dozen.
Those lids are at least twice as thick as the newer lids, and more rubber seal on them also.
As long as they're kept in a cool place, they'll last for years to come.
A few years ago, lids were hard to find.
Newer lids are just cheaply made anymore.
Almost like they don't want people to be self sufficient anymore.
