The only danger for me is catching the carpeting on fire or burning a hole in the high back, leather reclining office chair. smile

I have few buddies that got all excited about radishes and the deer never touched them. And I mean those big jokers too. I didn’t even know radishes got that big.

Don't know about deer but cows will eat the radishes and turnips much better after a hard freeze. Heard it increases their sugar content. Maybe doesn't get cold enough down there... ????

I can't remember the details from college, but I believe the starch turns to sugar after a freeze. I planted turnips one fall and the deer never touched them until the tail end of season after they froze hard. Looking down the shooting lanes it was like little white "disks" where they had eaten them off level with the ground.

Tempting, but I've never used a scope for deer.... gotta give 'em a little bit of a chance.

PRO TIP: Make sure the rifle barrel is ALL the way out of the window before you pull the trigger! Huh? What?

Also make sure spouse is already awake....I've heard reports gunfire out the sliding glass door isn't a preferred way start a new day.

ProTip#2, make sure grunt tube is tucked in before releasing the bowstring.

Bout launched myself out of a stand once.

swampgas chili and schmidt beer makes for a deadly combo

You have to remember that 1 out of 3 Democratic Voters is just as dumb as the other two.

See! Bow hunting is SO dangerous! It should be banned to help protect the shooter. smile

What?, baiting?

I'm hoping they have a good handle on that one and happy for it.

Pro Tip #3.
If you can, every winter, go out and cut some junk trees. Even if it's a 1/2 acre.
Mature trees / closed canopy looks nice to us but deer prefer low growing brush.

I think he was talking about my smart alec comment. As for Pro Tip #3, all deer hunters should thank loggers. They do more for the deer (especially during the winter) than any of the hunting organizations.
