30 days worth of sweet corn. Three pairs of 40 foot rows. Vision super sweet which has a 10 day harvest window. So far, e-fence holding. Traps set for any vagrant coon that might come around.

Splash one good sized boar coon. Caught in a Wickencamp cage trap to right of view above. Wickencamp has gravity drop doors, with heavy 1/4" rod door, held in place by a sliding lock rod. Watching it from a distance, it had found the only moving part on the trap........was raising and lowering the sliding lock rod. At one point got it halfway up before it dropped back down. Those guys are smart.

That one coon capable of riddling most of those two ripe rows in one night.

Few years back, neighbor up at the farm planted 3 or 4 acres of community sweet corn. It was free......come get it. My mother said she wanted some, so took her over. Must have pulled in every coon for miles around. Dozens and dozens of em. They had destroyed the whole patch. Unbelievable.
