Yours is left side . That looks genetic. Be interesting to see if those bucks were twins at birth. Or at the least brothers 1 year apart.
Both of those deer look healthy. I think sometimes genetics can be part of it. Inbreeding especially. Free range deer you think it wouldn't happen but I've seen spikes that run with does all summer breeding on the same property.

Can you show a " quote" where Pumpkin Man (me) said nothing would grow?

Will wait for it. laugh
And...., what is this "Disease " you speak of?
What's the proper name for it? I've never heard of it?
Really..., I'm interested in hearing about this "Disease "you mentioned.
You post pics like those that claim to have filmed a Bigfoot. No pics are better then poor ones.

Hope you kill that 2/3 year old this year standing in your green plot of weeds, grass. Lol.
I believe you planted sunflowers there in that mix? Can you show one that made it to maturity?
Your posts are SO EASY to pick apart. Lol.
So a Disease link and a referral to where I said " nothing" would grow would be awesome.
GO!!!

smile

Edited too add, that squirt buck has an injury. Not a Disease wink
Pumpkin Man out.

(For now) will wait for your spin responses and will chime back

Hey bucks your chimer broke or your memory come back? But you might be out taking more pics for your modeling portfolio. I love your input to EVERYTHING I post. You inspire everyone to do better. I hope I am half the deer slayer you are when I grow up. In 2018 you were pushing 400 and at that rate of kills you must be "pushing" 550 by now.
Hey but if your modeling gig doesn't work out maybe you can get a job doing motivational speaking at schools. But wait not sure if they allow you within 1000 yards of one or not...........

According to body size, those bucks are 2 different ages. No way twins. I’d say the first is 4.5-5.5 that second buck is a 3.5 year old.
If the back end is larger than the front it’s 3.5 or younger.
If they’re even it’s a 4.5yr old
If that front end is larger than the rear end (bulldog look) then it’s 5.5+.

This is what works in my area. I tell folks that want to know what a mature deer looks like, if he comes in swaggering he’s mature. If it reminds you of a bulldog he’s mature. If he looks like a thoroughbred racehorse he needs another year. And if he throws caution to the wind like a teenager he needs several more years, lol.

The size of the pedicle in that first bucks pic is absolutely crazy. The fact he survived is even more crazy. That’s a chunk of bone to fill in and not get infected.

You are right why I threw out 1 year apart. BUT I'm not sure it isn't genetics. First deer doesn't look like injury. second one is anyones guess !
