Doesn't sound like much of a "gun/hunting related" site. Agree! Sounds like a site you need to get away from. geez I'd say and quick

I'd get off that site, too.....but not without leaving an honest review of what I thought about it.
At least a few will see it b4 they delete it.

The photo can be interpreted as a coyote howling in pain due to just stepping in a trap. All trappers know it isn't what is going on and it isn't what happens, but the photo can be used by anti's against us by describing it as such. It is a bad choice for a profile pic IMO. Getting it off the hunting forum is the moderator doing their job in the same manner that we are prohibited from discussing dispatch in open forum. If you want a trapped animal as your profile pic, a much better choice would be a coyote or fox asleep with foot in a trap. And they would say the animal was dead, not asleep. Died from the stress and trauma of being in a trap for a week. They lie. Period. Capitulating to them doesn't work. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that picture.

and there is nothing wrong with dispatching a caught animal, or the ways we do it, but we don't provide ammo to the other side. The other side already hates us and trapping, so what difference does it make? They're gonna find "ammo" to use against trapping if they look for it. I don't attempt to live my life trying to not offend people who already hate me. I really don't care what they think about me or my lifestyle.

Worse argument I've ever got into about trapping was with a veteran deer hunter. We were in a local archery pro shop shooting our hunting rigs at the in-door range. The topic of coyote trapping was brought up by the shop owner and it went from there.
The guy actually got angry while stating trapping was the most cruel activity in the world. I couldn't fathom how someone that shoots a razor tipped projectile thru a deer's ribcage could think he was more justified than me catching coyotes in foot traps.
The shop owner finally intervened when the guy starting cursing. He left the shop. You can't fix ignorance or stupidity.

I'm sorry that you're scared of offending somebody who doesn't like trapping. That's one reason our country is in the shape it's in. People are afraid of offending a weirdo. I bet an anti could Google all kinds of trapping pictures. If they're offended by a picture of a coyote howling in a trap, I couldn't care less. Why do you?
