I'm wanting to build a roller style machine since I have short ceilings and am struggling to find dimensions for them. Would anyone be willing to send me some dimensions/pictures so I have a better idea? I'm not looking to steal anyone's ideas, just trying to figure out the dimensions so I can build one for myself. Thanks in advance!
I looked at the one at n.t.a. , did you check it oot. Just wondering, I,m just old school looked something else to store an trip over Not bashing it, or wanting to offend anyone.

I did look at it but was too out of my price range for skinning out free coyotes and coons for hunting buddies and I know a few guys good at fab so I figured I would just make one. Me and my dad usually thermal hunt around 70-100 coyotes a year so it would be nice to have a easy way to skin the nice ones we want to keep and then we have a couple of other friends who do the same so it would get used quite a bit.
Peel them warm, made a pole on my bumper (pre cell phone). So no pictures, now I use a nylon rope setup, I traded for it at a western NTA in Holbrook AZ . Work's as all around type setup, tree, an brace post etc. Still need body/an knee for help but as I said earlier warm is best .
Well, I figured it out. I made it a bit bigger than I wanted, but it should do just fine. I still need to make a pedestal/base for it and give it a quick coat of paint.
If you want to keep it short, don’t bother making a pedestal or stand for it, just drill some holes in that bottom bar and mount that into the floor. That’s what I did to save even more room
If you need any help, just pm me and I'll be glad to help. It's a shame there's no info out there on these to build your own, this was a decent bit of guess work.
Dang YT that’s awesome.Did you run a threaded rod through a hollow pipe to attach to far side?
Here's how I did it. I used solid 5/8" stock and the way those hand winches are set up is they have a bolt going through with a tube around them so I cut it in half and welded the stock right to the tube around the bolt. I can adjust how hard it is to crank by tightening or loosening the bolt by the ratcheting mechanism. I can make a video of it if you're interested.

I would but I don't want to have bend over that far.

The whole point of the roller system is reducing the ceiling height needed. You can use a pedestal, just don't make it too tall or all youl be doing is cranking on the roller.
I have one that I would sell. Made by a guy in Colorado, can't remember his name. It works great, just went a different direction. Shipping might be kinda high.
I designed and built this style of skinner back when TheYouthTrapper was still in diapers. I'm certain I have sold more skinning machines of various designs than anyone else in the world. Many people have copied it since them. I never had any trouble giving dimensions so people could build one for themselves correctly. It's a shame some others were too dumb to come up with their own designs and copied mine to sell. A&J Skinners who took over my skinning machine business are the ones to buy from. They use my designs with my permission.
I was building skinning machines before you I just never sold any LOL I'm going to try and get some pics of a roller type skinning machine that I'm working on. And It's nothing like any of the ones I've seen On trapper man. I think once It's complete you could skin a yote In less then 7'.

Like I said, I didn't mean to step on anyone's toes. I have asked for dimensions in the past with no results. I'm not looking to sell these or anything, just wanted to make one for myself.

How would he have known that?
Well I've been here a long time. I've always tried to help anyone who asks. MOST of the time when there is a skinning machine question, if I don't see it, someone will mention asking me. If a person does any searches for skinning machine info on Trapperman, they will see it.
