If I had the opportunity to fish with anyone, it would be Mark June and his lovely wife Donna. We’d take the lazy approach and fish from the bank, with cane poles, corks and worms.
It would be just a lazy day with plenty if time to relax and visit.
Several years ago now when Mark was heavy affiliated with the Texas Trappers and Fur Hunters Association I had the opportunity to write a very brief question and answer piece for the Texas Fur Trails Magazine…..the article left me wanting to ask several hundred questions, but space didn’t allow….. I would like to know what makes the man tick…..from childhood to the driven man he is today, along with the many bumps in the road from jealous adversaries.

He's no longer with us , but Jonathan the photographer . Renaissance man if there ever was. I think we'd flyfish for brookies.

I would fish with any member. I have been fortunate to fish with several members here.

Well, a few years back... when I still had a boat and lived in Florida... It didn't seem to matter who I wanted to fish with, but who wanted to go fishing with me.
NO ONE! No one would go with me, because I would go out at first light and back at dark. Most wanted go fishing for 2 or 3 hours and then go home.
When I went fishing, I stayed fishing until the day was done. Alway caught fish, but hardly ever brought any home.

Them were the days... Now I am lucky if I get to go a couple times a year. That really saddens me.

That was covid year. No one on the lake until june. When they went back to having tournaments they hated to see us show up. The smallmouth with me on the dock is biggest ever weighed in in event for me. 6.98 . Probably have 20 or more pics from the same time period...
