Has anyone else ever experienced something like this? Anyone have good experiences or bad experiences with CPAP. Thanks in advance. Getting There trapper G Joined: Sep 2012 Posts: 7,264 West Michigan	There is a big difference between CPAP and a BPAP machine. If you stop breathing, you need BPAP machine. It took me three years to find the right mask. My problem was I was tried all the time. To Old U.S. Army 60-63 SGT.

I was shocked when they told me I supposedly have it. The doctor asked all these questions that I feel don't apply to me. He asked if I got up regular in the night to use the bathroom, did I feel tired all the time, do I need naps during the day, etc. The answer is no to all of the above for the most part. I may fall asleep in the evening while watching TV after a long day. As I said in another post, I walk 36 holes twice a week and walk 3 or 4 miles most every day that I'm not golfing. I'm very active most days taking care of the garden, mowing 3 acres, weeding, etc. I don't have acid reflux, although I will eat a tum after eating a lot of pizza or spaghetti. I feel fine most days unless my back with the ruptured disc is acting up. I'm hoping I'm not being scammed. I'm willing to keep trying but something isn't right with the machine because I had no trouble sleeping with the mask on at the hospital. It's no fun to wake up with the feeling that you are being suffocated. I will see what the doctor has to say Monday afternoon. Randy

Malukchuk trapper Joined: Dec 2011 Posts: 2,597 western alaska	IF you dont like the pressure of your cpap you can tell them you want a negative pressure also. It cuts off allowing you to exhale getting rid of you suffocation problem. Water is good for two things, Floating Ships and making Beer.
