I'm just starting my 4th year of college, 2nd year at this online school. Last year, I took classes in communication, business management, macroeconomics, microeconomics, fintech and accounting to name a few. All of my classes have an online discussion board, similar to this forum, with topics you're required to post about each week. All year I endeavored to get my classmates to engage in some form of political discussion, especially in the economics and finance classes. It was like poking a dead fish with a stick.... I couldn't even get a fin flip out of any of them.
Fast forward to this year... my first two classes this year are data analytics and business finance. Business finance discussion boards are dead, but data analytics??? That discussion board is ON FIRE about everything from illegal immigration to DEI BS in the workforce... and classes don't even officially start until tomorrow.
Who in the world would have guessed that a glorified Excel basics class would be where all the scintillating discussion would be? LOL

I now follow the advice of stay low key as much as possible and focus on the task at hand.
I made it to week 7 of basic training before the drill sergeant remembered my name. Don’t give them a reason to single you out.

I learned early it's a good idea to look into the person teaching the class before signing up. Only took one class ran by a feminist to figure that out. Out of a class of 30 myself and the 3 other guys in there didn't get the memo. I was young and it was much first time experiencing a man hating woman. Up until that point I thought everyone of them liked the all American apple pie guys.
With so many women going to end up alone and unmarried I should probably be investing in cat food and supply companies.

With so many women going to end up alone and unmarried I should probably be investing in cat food and supply companies. auto company where you charge then a monthly fee and they use an app to tell you the car is acting up or needs gas , you have the car send you all the mileage info. then you just go around , gassing up, dropping off cars and picking them up , with the proper insurance , registration and such and you move the one bag organizer to the back of the drivers seat in the new car each time. they just pay the $$$ and they have purchased like the perfect husband anticipating all their auto needs also nearly contactless , they just have an app on their phone that opens the car doors or a fob they keep with them that you pre-program to the cars. the app on their phone to remind them where they parked.
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

You have a "salted" forum with the one class. Some may be actual students but I suspect most are paid trolls of AI bots. And "Data Analytics" would be good training grounds to test how to gather and retain information on people. I've seen it in multiple types of different forums.
Remember, everything you now write or speak (all phones now have some sort of digital aspects to them) digitally is getting gathered up. Not necessarily analyzed but gathered up and stored; the NAS and other alphabet soup kids, including the company Alphabet (Google, the by product child of U.S. DARPA program), have lots and lots of square feet of server space for such storage. When someone becomes "of interest", various ways (IP addresses, phone numbers, names. SS numbers, etc) will be used to find all of those communications.
What I'm saying shouldn't be nothing new to informed people but I'm sure it might still shock to some and others will have disbelief. I personally don't care anymore, I'm leaving this place for a much better one either sooner or later. They can't chain my soul...

Seems too me,,,AI is going to crush “data analytics”. Can’t see much of a future for that,,,,,as far as future employment
Also seems that all the successful business folks I know,,,,talk about how generally, college “ business “ professors are failed business people
But that’s advanced education these days,,,,
