OK , statue of limitations has long ran out , what crazy maybe unlawful things did you do long ago ?

Old roommate of mine did a crazy stunt that was just epic. He went to this high school (name redacted) that had an odd auditorium with a dome shaped roof. It was built into the hillside a bit.

So , he had a old VW beetle that had been completely gutted for parts. They towed the car to the school at night with a chain. Him and a bunch of guys pushed the car to the back where the side wall was only about six feet to the start of the dome. They set up a bunch of planks and crates and pushed the car on top of the dome and left it there. Collected all the planks and crates and left.

The next morning was a surprise to say the least. The school was perplexed on how the car got put there. They hired a crane to remove it. Made the front page of the paper and even got some TV coverage. Luckily those old Beetles had removable VIN tags on metal plates so they had no idea who used to own the car.

The things you could get away with before security cameras became commonplace.....lol

Completely covered an under classmans car with vasoline one day at lunch. About 10 of us did. He'd popped off a couple days early that if anyone messed with his car he was going to kick their butt. Trouble was he was all mouth and too many people wanted to call his bluff. He was in tears when he saw his car. Pretty much the whole high school came out to look at it. About 600 kids and all the teachers.

We lived on the edge of a golf course. We collected dog crap and filled the putting holes about half full.

Me and a buddy caught his rooster when we were in 3rd grade and put it in the mail box. Waited in the weeds for the mail man to show. Now that rooster was pretty mean on a normal day and 30 minutes in a mail box didn't fix his attitude for the better. There was quite a circus in that mail truck for awhile. Mail and feathers was about all u could see for awhile. That mailman got out of the truck and shouted "I know you boys are around here somewhere and I'm going to beat ur butt if I find u. It was all we could do not to laugh out loud.

Dad dipped his beagles in used motor oil for fleas. Brother was complaining about fleas.....

Then there was dad's five gallon bucket of roofing bull and we had chickens......

Billy Joe Shirley taught the boys Sunday School class and the McLeod boys were always the topic of how not to do brotherly love.

There were three of us, there were also three Melton brothers. One afternoon on the bus I exchanged words with the middle one, maybe a finger, and it got personal when the second Melton joined in. Noticed little brother come in from the front of the bus. Then the other Melton from the back with middle brother on his heels.

Dot Kendriks got that bus pulled over and waded in putting the McLeods to the back and the Meltons to the front.

Got to the Melton's stop and three McLeods got up to get off.

Where do y'all..... aw get off my bus. LOL

One time me and my cousin were staying at the grandparents place and camped out at their pond. Next morning was Sunday and the grandparents went to Church but let us sleep in and stay home. We ended up cutting about 8 2X4 a foot and a half long then took the chainsaw and kind of hollowed out a bowl in the center of them. Took them to the pond along with a couple gallons of gas. We thought it would be fun to fill the bowl with gas, light it a fire push them out into the pond and try to sink them with rocks. Kind of like a miniature navy battle. Was great fun until we ended up with enough gas on the surface of the pond that the whole pond lit a fire. Smoked like a hundred tires was burning. We thought for sure someone would see all the smoke and call the fire department luckily it only lasted about 3 minutes and the fire department didn't show. Wasn't a very big pond but there for a few minutes we thought we had bit off way more than we could chew....

Hated going up to the mountain, Uncle KT's place. Mama's family homeplace.

Uncle KT had a long list of do nots. No climbing trees, no climbing in the barn loft, no chunking rocks and whole lot more.

It seems that years ago a little girl was constantly getting herself into trouble ultimately falling out of the barn loft breaking her arm.

Thanks, Mom.

Dad had to go out of town and left me with a list of things to do. One was the feed his roosters.

He had a leghorn rooster called stupid and it was Dad's favorite as it had no quit. Dad would boot it like a football on fourth and long just for it to bounce back up and hit him again. I'd even seen that bird draw blood on daddy.

Needless to say I was scared but I was more scared of daddy. So I got my bucket of feed and armed myself with a cane pole. Sure enough that stupid bird come out to meet me so as soon as it came into range I hit him upside the head with all I had. Well it did a 360 and nosedive into the dirt and didn't move.

Now remember me saying I was more scared of daddy and now I've done killed his favorite rooster so I had to just how bad a trouble I'm in so I bend over to get a good look at that stupid rooster.

When that thing exploded back into life I gave him the bucket and he chased me all the back to the house. They just didn't get fed that week.

My cousin and I caught a skunk and decided to have a little fun. Don't know how but managed to get it in an old suitcase. Then we put the suitcase along side the road and waited back in the weeds. Not long after a car load of teenage kids came along. When they seen the suitcase along side the road, they locked up the brakes. One kid jumped out, ran back, grabbed the suitcase and then jumped into the back seat of the car. Well the car took off but only made it about a block or so before skidding to a stop where 4 kids bailed out screaming and caughing. We decided it wasn't a good idea to stick around and hightailed it out of there before they found us.

It didn't seem crazy at the time, and it still doesn't. Starting at 14 years old
I hitchhiked all over the state.Often there was the broke down rifle in my backpack and/or traps.
This was in the early to mid 70's.

Canon city had a coal powered electric plant. Town I lived in had a siding and coal cars coming through to the plant. Train ran through the royal gorge. Had walked the tracks through the gorge fishing but cousin and me decided to ride a coal train through it. His older brother agreed to pick us up in Canon. Train didnt stop till it got to Pueblo. Our ride said he didnt have enough gas when we called him and we only had enough money to call him. (pay phone for you youngsters. Long distance call) Called my dad collect. It was a fun adventure but consequences not so much.

My friends and I were always playing (mostly) harmless pranks on folks in the neighborhood. One time, we did something (I don't remember what) that caused a school mate's dad to call the police. Now nobody could have ever known it was us, so there was no danger of getting caught, but we were some kind of mad about having the fuzz called in.
These folks had money, so they had a nice inground pool. They also lived in a small river. We went fishing and caught a couple of large carp and a bucket full of bullhead and released them in their pool at about 2am that night LOL.

Just happy to be here.
