Do any of you folks that follow the shooting industry closer than I do have any information on this?

Supposedly was going to be introduced, I've seen pictures of ammo boxes but nothing else.

A couple weeks ago" Michigan Out of Doors" TV show did a story about the 400 legend. You can find their previous episodes on you tube videos.

350 legend is a great deer round, killed 5 with it so far all one shot kills

Yes.picked up a 350 legend last year for my daughter to youth hunt with.did great on both deer she killed with it.both deer where within 100 yards tho.they recently changed the law here in arkansas to allow straight wall cartridges during black powder season.will probably shoot hers or my muzzle loader this year,and look at buying a 350 or 400 legend next year when availability gets better.right now it's hard to find ether with this new straight wall season.can find new muzzle loaders cheap right now lol.the 350 is definitely easier to find ammo for and alot more rifles chambered for it over the 400.will se after this season wich one I will go with for next year

This is my experience. My 11 year old shot 5 with his last year. They either dropped or only stumbled and made it 30 yards at most.

I think it's popularity being first to market makes it a better choice because in 10 years anything else being less popular will likely be hard to find ammo for and it will be more expensive.

Both of my boys have one but with the camo stock and burnt bronze color receiver and barrel. One of them was ammo sensitive and not fit to hilunt with with Winchester 150 gr stuff it vertical strings 6 to 8 inches with it . It shoots Hornady 170gr sp good enough but not great.. my youngest shoots the 150 gr stuff well and it's very good on deer from the 5 he shot so far. If the 170 gr stuff does well on deer and the youngest gun shoots it well with them both i will switch him over to it in order not to keep 2 different ammos in stock and I can make bigger orders of one.

My sons savage will not shoot winchester at all but hornaday will hold a 1.25 in patern at 100 yds. I was impressed with the penitration of the 350. I don't think the 400 will be much of an improvement.

I like bigger holes. Can kill them all day long at 60-70 yards with my 20ga with peep sight. Old school.

Prefer to fill the freezer during the archery season. When CVA introduced the .350 I figured not a problem to do the .400. Maybe they have been doing customer surveys and don't have enough interest.

Only other caliber would be the .450 Bushmaster.

I just checked available rifles. Just about everyone except CVA.

As you Illinois guys know we are single shot only. I think Ruger and/or Savage make magazine blocks to convert to one round only.

CVA 350 legend consistently kills at 225 yards. My buddy in Texas has one killed a doe at 300 last year just a little stretch

the 400 legend gets it clearly legal in more states

technically 350 legend is .355 not .357 and some states strait wall cartridge laws state .357 minimum

not sure it will catch on much as I think one or two of those states DNR said close enough 0.002

They were selling like hotcakes here until people realized they weren’t legal. Currently working on fixing that so they are legal. From everything I’ve heard they are a decent round if you are limited to a straight walled cartridge.

They are great. Basically a 357 maximum you can buy ammo for at the store.
