Lots of people get jealous of successful people. Few are willing to do what it takes to be successful. I'm used to it.

As far as time home. I'm home more days a month off than people only getting 2 days a week off. Sure in not home when I'm working but honestly few people are spending 15 mins a day with their kids after picking them up from child care geting home and unwinding with 2 parents IT they have 2 working.

MY WIFE stays home and is with the kids all day each and every day. When I'm home I'm home and with the kids.

Look, PF, I actually like you for the most part and agree with your point of view on many things. I like that your wife is a stay at home mom (mine was when I was young and when she later had to work I stayed with my grandparents), and I like that your kids are homeschooled. I think your kids will actually turn out really good. I DON'T think they'll be doomed due to YOUR addictive personality, because I think the upbringing YOUR WIFE is giving them will overcome that. You said your mom worked all the time when you were young, so I think THAT'S at least partially why you do... your upbringing, not your genes. Add that to the fact that you don't want your kids to be raised by a woman that has to work all the time to support them like your mom did, and it's understandable why you feel the need to work all the time. But it IS an addiction and it wasn't all that long ago that you made a post alluding to the fact that you were starting to worry about it as such.

But honestly, none of that is my business. I do feel really bad for your boys, and I know later in life your regret over your choices now will be huge.

Where I take exception, is where you come on here saying that kids born of bad genes are more likely to turn out bad. Do some research. Start with identical twin studies. You say your siblings turned out bad because they have bad genes. Of course, the boy's bio mom taking drugs her whole pregnancy could have nothing to do with that, right? As for the girls with fatherless children, well, their role model was a single mother so.... And don't act like you're better than they are because you only have kids with one woman. Your bad choices are just different than theirs', that's all.
