Yes at Dollar General. It goes to literacy. I have two grandkids that are severely dyslexic and the charity is dear to my heart. Most other roundups No

Nope I’d don’t donate until I verify the organization isn’t communist

Here's my thoughts: if it's a chain store, you are most likely just giving them a tax write off. If it's some mom and pop store with a donation jar to help a sick kid or such, that's a different story. I believe in tipping at restaurants, and people will say that the system shouldn't require it, but it is what it is, and the waitress deserves to make a decent wage so I don't feel bad about that at all. I don't mind donating, I just want to be able to pick my charity.
Right now I’m having amnesia and déjà vu at the same time. I think I’ve forgotten this before.

No. I tell them I'd prefer to round down if not too inconvenient. Love this. Can't wait to try it! Pete I agree. Next time, I’m going to ask them if they would like to round down and they make the donation.

it depends exactly what it is for.
thing about it this way if you round up and all they say is charity , it could be the "Human fund" or worse it could be a anti hunting trapping org posing as an environmental groups or a Eugenics organization claiming to be a woman's health charity.
so if it is less than 50 cents and a charity I support , yes I will round up , if my bill is 22.07 NO I am not rounding up to 23 dollars that isn't rounding the way I was taught you have to be past the half way point to round up.
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

When Mac Donald's pan handles me in the Drive thru line trying to bum my change from me for charity I always decline. I then counter propose to them that they should, instead, donate cash to my personal charity, and give me my meal on the house !!! They always decline also. I find it annoying & disingenuous that a multi-billion corporation is pan handling & begging for my spare change. Let them donate some of their massive corporate profits. w

No, the local hardware chain store does it for Seattle Childrens Hospital. When my friend's daughter was at Seattle Childrens with cancer, they had no problem sending him a bill for six figures for a few days of "treatment". Why should I donate them a dime. I'll bet the store writes a check equal to the amount they collect, then take a charitable contribution right-off. Saint Jude's on the other hand, is a fantastic organization, no trouble at all contributing to them.
