depends on the state , his dad has or puts farm plates or dual purpose farm plates on it , he tosses some fencing tools and wire in the back , he can drive is a lot of places
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

13 ain't old enough to own a vehicle. I got my farm permit at 14 years old in Iowa. Now you can drive to school in town. And any farm truck down the road to the elevator... I believe 12 years old was legal to go from farm to farm in a truck,,,.... Look into it KID,,,,the is lots of Forgotten information/laws.....

Are you old enough to legally drive by yourself on highways? Apparently if it's registered as a farm truck he is. Link

Are you old enough to legally drive by yourself on highways? Are you a state trooper? No. I just like to “stir the pot”, “ruffle some feathers”.

As long as you can reach the pedals and see over the steering wheel you can drive a 3 ton farm truck around here…….certain times of year anyway…lol

My kids drive my truck and.cars and have been a few years. Normally just on the farm or down the road from one field to another ornon backroads one.farm to the next. They are now 11 and 14. They have been driving 4 wheelers, side by sides and trackers starting around 4 so a.car or truck is no big deal.
As far as owning it under 16 thats.wrong I had my first truck at 14. . They can drive a tractor and implement or loaded hay wagon down the.road for miles with zero legal issues and I see no difference or more danger with a truck on the same route. Big difference between a sxs or 4 wheeler, verses a car or truck in traffic conditions. Eric
